Dental X Rays

Dental X-rays are diagnostic images used by dentists to visualize teeth, bones, and surrounding tissues. They help identify issues such as cavities, gum disease, and tooth decay that may not be visible during a regular dental exam.
At White Dental, we have different types of X RAYS, which includes
  • Periapical (PA X RAY)
  • Panaromic (OPG X RAY)
  • Cephalometric (CEPH X RAY)
  • Cone Beam CT (CBCT) - 3D View

Scaling

Dental scaling is a dental procedure aimed at removing dental plaque and tartar (calculus) from the teeth by using ultrasonic scaler. The process helps to prevent gum disease, cavities, and bad breath by promoting optimal oral health.
Dental air flow scaling, is a gentle and effective procedure that involves the use of a controlled stream of air, water, and fine powder to remove surface stains, plaque, and soft deposits from the teeth. It is a less abrasive alternative to traditional scaling methods, which use instruments to manually remove deposits.

What is a Dental Crown?

A dental crown is made of dental material applied over the crown of the tooth, giving it added protection and support.
There are different types of materials used for dental crowns – ceramic, porcelain fused to metal (PFM), EMAX and zirconia.

When do I need a Dental Crown?

  • Replace a large filling when there isn’t enough tooth remaining
  • Protect a weak tooth from fracturing
  • Restore a fractured tooth
  • Cover a dental implant
  • Cover a discoloured or poorly shaped tooth
  • Cover a tooth that has had root canal treatment

What is a Bridge?

Bridges are commonly used to replace one or more missing teeth. They span the space where the teeth are missing. Bridges are cemented to the natural teeth or implants surrounding the empty space.
As with crowns, you have a choice of materials for bridges. Your dentist can help you decide which to use, based on the location of the missing tooth (or teeth), its function, aesthetic considerations and cost. Porcelain or ceramic bridges can be matched to the colour of your natural teeth.

Dental Veneers

Dental veneers are thin shells, usually made of porcelain or composite resin, that are custom-made to cover the front surface of a tooth. These shells are bonded to the tooth, providing a cosmetic solution to improve the appearance of teeth that are discolored, stained, chipped, or misaligned. Veneers are commonly used to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the smile.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is a cosmetic dental procedure aimed at lightening the color of teeth and removing stains or discoloration. It is a popular and non-invasive treatment to enhance the appearance of the smile by making the teeth appear whiter and brighter.

Extraction

Dental extraction is the dental procedure that remove of a tooth from its socket in the jawbone. There are various reasons why a dental extraction might be necessary, which included decay, periodontal disease, infection or abscess or due to orthodontic treatment.

Dental Surgery (Wisdom Teeth Extraction)

This is a more complex procedure, which is used if a tooth may have broken off at the gum line or has not erupted in the mouth. The doctor makes a small incision (cut) into your gum to surgically remove the broken tooth or impacted wisdom tooth. It may be necessary to remove some of the bone around the tooth or to cut the tooth in half in order to extract it. tooth in half in order to extract it.

Child Care

Dental child care involves practices and services focused on maintaining the oral health of children. It includes preventive measures like regular check-ups, cleanings, and fluoride treatments, as well as educating parents and children about proper oral hygiene habits and a balanced diet. Dental child care also addresses orthodontic concerns, provides emergency care, and emphasizes positive experiences during dental visits. The goal is to instill good oral health habits early, ensuring a lifetime of healthy smiles for children.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a prosthetic replacement for a missing tooth or teeth. It consists of a titanium post surgically implanted into the jawbone, providing a stable foundation for an artificial tooth (crown) or a bridge. Dental implants offer a durable and natural-looking solution for tooth loss, promoting improved function and aesthetics. The process involves a surgical procedure to place the implant, followed by the attachment of a custom-made crown or bridge. Dental implants are widely used to restore oral function and enhance the appearance of a patient's smile.

Night Guard
A night guard is a dental device worn during sleep to protect the teeth and jaws from the effects of teeth grinding or clenching, known as bruxism. 3D Intraoral Scanner
A 3D intraoral scan is a modern dental imaging technique that involves using a handheld digital scanner to capture detailed three-dimensional images of the inside of the mouth, including teeth and surrounding structures. This technology provides a more accurate and efficient alternative to traditional dental impressions. The scan is often used in various dental procedures, such as creating crowns, bridges, and other dental restorations, as well as in orthodontics for treatment planning and progress tracking.
